NOTICE REGARDING THE COLLECTION AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA AND UPDATING IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENT INFORMATION
To ensure your rights and in compliance with Decree No. 13/2023/ND-CP on personal data protection, HSBC Bank (Vietnam) Ltd. (“HSBC” or “the Bank”) hereby notifies you of the collection and processing of your personal data through the BioMatch application (“the Application”).
HSBC, at its sole discretion, processes your personal data for all purposes of personal data processing as stated in the Privacy Notice (https://www.business.hsbc.com.vn/vi-vn/regulations/privacy-and-security). These data processing activities are lawful and carried out as necessary for HSBC to provide banking products and services effectively, as requested by you, and in accordance with applicable legal regulations.
Personal data (including biometric data) and identification document information that you provide through this Application and by other means will be processed in accordance with the terms of the Privacy Notice.
The Application is provided by our partner, FPT Software Co., Ltd., whose registered address is FPT Building, Duy Tan Street, Dich Vong Hau Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi, Vietnam (“the Service Provider”).
The Bank stores your personal data and shares it with the Service Provider through the Application for the purpose of complying with the regulations of the State Bank of Vietnam regarding payment accounts, bank cards, and ensuring the security and safety of the online services provided by the Bank and related legal requirements. This enables the Bank to continue providing products and services to you as required by law.
The Service Provider only stores information in encrypted form (using AES-256 encryption) for operational processing. The data is not stored in image format and will be deleted after 15 minutes, or automatically upon session expiration.
The processing of your data via the Application takes place from the moment you provide the data until the Service Provider transfers it completely to the Bank’s system—within a maximum of 15 minutes. After this time, the Service Provider will no longer retain your data.
Your valid identification documents submitted through this Application will be updated in your customer profile at HSBC and applied to all HSBC products and services provided to you.
